Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know this stuff works?
The course is based on cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia – it’s the most strongly evidenced approach to treating insomnia, and is the recommended method according to all sleep and medical associations worldwide. I didn’t just make it up 🙂
Someone or something else wakes me at night. Can this help?
Being woken up from the outside can be frustrating and the course can’t prevent that from happening but you can deepen sleep so you may not wake up as easily as before. You can learn to tackle the ‘worries about not falling back to sleep’ so those don’t contribute to staying awake, allowing you to fall back to sleep faster.
I've never done an online course before. Is it hard?
The platform used to host the course is VERY EASY to use.
You’ll get an email with the login details – you only need access to a web browser. Just login and then do the lesson.
And each week, you’ll get a reminder of new lessons that have been released for you.
It works this way because the skills take time to build upon one another – racing through the videos and worksheets won’t get you to your goal faster. There aren’t any shortcuts I’m afraid!
why does it cost so much?
It isn’t. What is the cost is of staying exactly where you are, with poor sleep and anxiety about not sleeping, spending money over and over on things that aren’t working (otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this!)
For the price of a pair of shoes, a handbag, a ticket to the footie, a dinner out that lasts two hours….you get six weeks of professionally guided sleep skills learning – and a LIFETIME of benefit. You will never look at sleep the same way again. That alone is priceless.
How long does it take?
Each module is a bit different, but even the longest module (Module 3) should only take a maximum of 1.5 hours to work through. You then spend a bit of time each day doing the activities discussed in the module. It’s hard to quantify the mental side!
How do I pay?
Payment is done securely using Stripe via a very common checkout system called ThriveCart, a setup used by many online providers and online shops. It’s secure – I don’t ever see your card details.
How long do I have to complete the course?
As long as you like! Each module is released weekly, but after the six weeks you can go back to any module you like, for as long as you like. You get lifetime access (ie, access as long as the course is alive on the interwebs!)
